Since 2014, FC Bayern has become a global marketing trip as part of the “Audi Summer Tour” – mostly in the US or China. Due to the Corona pandemic, the strategically created journey had to be canceled over the past two years. Now the record champion plans the comeback.
In the last two years, FC Bayern had to develop his fans outside Europe with digital autograph lessons and challenges as well as virtual workouts and fan meetings. After all, the digital offer posted the record champion Germany and Europe-wide as a success.
If it allows the pandemic situation, the Munich will plan a trip over the large pond this year. As out of the “image” podcast “Bayern Insider”, the goals are USA, concrete Washington D.C. as well as Mexico.
So the brand FC Bayern should continue to grow in America. Already the last summer tour went to the USA, then the Munich traveled to Los Angeles, Houston and Kansas City. Part of the marketing strategy included friendly matches against Real Madrid, the FC Arsenal and the AC Milan.
FC Bayern expands to Thailand
At the last year’s Audi Summer Cup in the Munich Allianz Arena, FC Bayern played against Gladbach and the SSC Naples. Prestigious games for the summer 2022 are not yet known.
The Summer Tour is not the only marketing tool that serves the record champion. So the Munich should have another foreign office in planning. In addition to the already existing locations in New York and Shanghai, FCB now wants to settle in the Thai capital Bangkok.
The club already maintains a football school in the East Asian country. With the foreign office, another playback stations should arise to inspire people for FC Bayern and to acquire other funds.
