Coaching Mike Krzyzewski has reached the Final Four in US college basketball with the Duke Blue Devils shortly before retirement.

The team of “Coach K”, who will finish his career at the end of the season after 42 years at the University of Durham / North Carolina, hit the Arkansas Razoracks with 78:69. The title is awarded in New Orleans (2 to 4 April).

The former National Coach Krzyzewski celebrated his 1202th win as a college coach in the Chase Center in San Francisco, nobody took more. The hope for a sixth title under Krzyzewski in the tournament of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) after 1991, 1992, 2001, 2010 and 2015 live on.

Krzyzewski had started his post at the Blue Devils 1980, more successful than the 75-year-old was only John Wooden (UCLA) with ten championships. Krzyzewski worked for eleven years as a national coach (2005-2016), during this time, the Team USA took three times Olympia and twice World Cup gold. Only one game was lost under his direction – the World Cup semi-final 2006.
